Vizontele's hair and make up artists put in meticulous work to faithfully reproduce character depictions and period fashions. The 70's hair style was re-created with love-locks and middle-partings. A trip to London yielded a treasure of hair clips, dyes and add-on braids properly in-period. The natural, everyday look of the decade was carefully applied to each member of the cast. An unkempt hair style was designed for Demet Akbağ in keeping with her part as an old small town matron. Bican Günalan's head was shaved and tufts of hair were glued on for his hair-losing character. Several of the actors received add-ons. More refined make up products instead of the usual paint sticks allowed for an artless look in the natural light and close-up shots.
