The outdoor movie theater seen in Vizontele was built in the same layout as exiting real life counterparts, and served as the focal point of the set plan. All the other houses and shops were placed in relation to the theater. Soda bottles, movie tickets and posters were all reproduced to reflect the period.
MAYOR'S HOUSE
The mayor's house was built adjacent to the theater as dictated by the script. Interior furnishing faithfully reproduced local home-living characteristics. The yard and environs were laid out in keeping with the depicted season.
TOWN HALL
The existing Town Hall on site was retouched for the 70's look. The façade as well as the interiors were done over for script and period consistency.
SHOPPING DISTRICT
Gevaş's shopping district was also rearranged to reflect the 70's, and extra constructs were put up where necessary. The houses and shops built for the film were placed in relation to the theater and the mayor's house.
The set was extended to the center of the town for visual continuity.
A road, street lamps and lamp posts were built to provide an authentic look. .
